NJHS is a service organization for 8th grade students with high academic standing.  The organization revolves around four service pillars:  community, citizenship, scholarship, and service.  Applications are available to 7th grade students in the Spring.  To qualify, students must have an overall GPA of 94 or higher for all of 6th grade and 7th grade through the 3rd nine weeks.  Students may not have any disciplinary actions.  The students answer a few questions to show that they are service minded individuals.  During the year, the students perform service activities in the four pillars to benefit or service impacted individuals.
