Hello GBMS students, staff, family and community. What a crazy week we have been through. I hope everyone is safe and secure and ready to get back to some kind of normalcy in our lives. We understand that some folks have/are going through some tough times. If you have been displaced or having any financial problems, please contact me and I will be able to get you signed up for our free breakfast/lunch program. School is an important part of getting back to normalcy as students get reacquainted with their classmates and enjoy just being teenagers with each other. Our community has really come together during this time, and I see neighbors looking out for and helping each other with the many tasks at hand. With that in mind and wanting students to feel comfortable when they come back to school, I would like to propose 2 dress up days when we get back. On Monday, Oct 19, we will have a PJ Day as I want the students and staff to feel comfortable at school. On Tuesday, Oct 20, we will have a Gulf Breeze Day where students and staff will wear their Gulf Breeze attire or Blue and Gold. GBHS homecoming activities have been moved to the week of Oct 26 -30 and we will move our homecoming dress up days to that week. Our 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be moved to Friday, Oct 30. Good evening Dolphins, this is Mr. Brandon from GBMS and I hope everyone is safe and weathered the storm without too much damage. We hope all of our dolphin families have power or getting it very soon. The directive from the Governor and Florida DOE is that everyone gets back to school on Wednesday, Oct 14. Our school was fortunate in that we only lost power for around 24 hours and all of our areas are safe and secure, with the exception of the Stringfellow Room which lost the top layer of the roof and had significant flooding inside. All other areas have AC working in the rooms. We understand some folks will have a some trouble getting to school. We will work with everyone on an individual basis. The campus is messy right now but we hope to get everything cleaned up tomorrow. Thanks for your understanding, stay safe, and have a great night.

Good afternoon, this is Mr. Brandon from Gulf Breeze Middle. Tomorrow is the last day to turn in permission slip forms for our 3 on 3 basketball tournament held on Oct 16th. Teams must turn in all forms together to the front office. Once all forms have been turned in, I will set up a bracket. Winners will move on to the south end tournament played on Sat, Nov 7. No late forms will be accepted. Friday is the last day of the 1st 9 weeks. All work and tests should be made up by Friday afternoon. There will be no school for students on Monday, Oct 12th as teachers will be finalizing grades and planning for the 2nd 9 weeks. We hope all students enjoy their three-day weekend. Our annual 3 on 3 school wide basketball tournament will be held on Friday, Oct 16 during school, before and after the homecoming parade . Each grade level will have a single elimination boys and girls tournament. Winners will advance to the south end championship on Nov 7. Teams will consist of 3 or 4 players chosen by the students themselves. Permission slip forms were given out yesterday and are due Wednesday, Oct 7. Teams will turn in the permission slip together as a team. If a form is missing, the team will not be entered until all forms have been turned in the front office. No late forms will be accepted. This Friday, September 11th, is the last day to purchase a yearbook at the lowest price of the school year. Buy a yearbook now for $45 at Jostens.com or bring cash/check to Ms. Denmon or the main office. Price will increase after Friday, September 11th.
The week of September 14-18, GBMS will celebrate the KICK OFF of PBIS for the 2026-2027 school year. Each day will be a different dress up day that correlate with the positive behaviors we emphasize with our students. Please remember dress code still applies🙂 Make sure to dress up and support PBIS and GBMS!

Good evening Dolphins and I hope everyone had a great weekend. We have some important activities this week. On Wed, we have our School Advisory Council Meeting in the library at 7:00. PTO also meets on Wed at 8:15. School Pictures will be on Wednesday as well. Packets were sent home last week with all students and should be brought back on Wed if pictures would like to be purchased. If you need a packet, please call the school. All students will get their pictures taken for the yearbook. On Thursday, we start our PM1 testing for 6th graders with ELA. 6th graders will take Math on Friday. We will enjoy a three-day weekend as we celebrate Labor Day Weekend and 7th grade will begin PM1 with ELA on Tuesday, Sep 8. Have a great night.
